Palladio's architecture
Andrea Palladio is widely considered a major exponent of Italian Renaissance architecture. His architecture influences braodly in history all over the world.
As for Venice, he worked especially in ecclesiastical architecture and renewed it considerably. Indeed, he applied the elements of Roman architecture to Roman Catholic Churches.
This route enable the visitors to retrace his interventions and includes:
- The church of San Francesco della Vigna
- The church of San Giorgio Maggiore
- The Church of the Redeemer and a walk along the Giudecca up to the Zitelle complex.
