Starting from September 2018, two great exhibitions celebrate the figure of the extraordinary Venetian painter Jacopo Robusti, better known as Tintoretto (1519-1594).
In 2019, in fact, the five hundredth anniversary of his death is commemorated and relevant events are planned in Venice, his hometown and the privileged place of his art. An exhibition will take place at the Gallerie dell'Accademia (The Young Tintoretto, from 7 September to 6 January) and will be dedicated to the youthful work of the master. Another is set up in the prestigious location of the Ducal Palace and shows a selection of important works by Tintoretto, some of which have been restored for the occasion, other collected here from museums all over the world (Paris, Philadelphia, Berlin, Prague, Dresden) ...)
