Titian in Venice

Titian is perhaps the most emblematic, as well as the best known, among the Renaissance artists from Venice. Some of his works are still housed in situ, and deserve to be discovered with attention to their history and iconography.

This itinerary is designed to reveal the presence of some must-see masterpieces preserved in some churches of the city.
In particular: the lively Annunciation of San Salvador's, the mighty St. James the Apostle in San Lio's, the effective St. John the Almsgiver in the church of the same name, and the two world-famous altarpieces (of the Pesaro and of the Assumption) in the spectacular Basilica of the Frari.

For lovers of ancient art, a sensational tour not to be missed.
